Hardly more complex than Kung Fu Master, Vigilante is a very basic and very plain side-scrolling beat'em up. You beat up an infinity of generic bad guys with one strike, get beaten by other generic bad guys with a much longer reach than you, while moving in flat and generic stages.

Bland and boring, even by the standards of the era (there had been 2 Double Dragon games by then!).
