The first Fatal Fury is still rooted in "traditional" gameplay; Street Fighter 2, released earlier the same year, is prettier, more dynamic, easier to play, and much more complete: Fatal Fury has only 3 playable characters. It also uses only 3 buttons: kick, puch and throw, so the gameplay is much less technical, and the "two planes" feel like a gimmick. Since you have access to all games in the series on Switch, you should rather play a great one like Garou MotW or King of Fighters 98.
