Cosmos Bit seems to take some influence from the first Metroid game on the NES. It gives little in the way of direction and lets you find your own way. It starts out tricky, but you can get the items you need for upgrades by grinding, which makes things considerably easier. Bizarrely, saving requires a small number of the same items. The items you find are useful, but the bosses are a bit of a letdown. It's all over in about 3 hours, tops, but it's fun while it lasts.
