Thanks for joining Switch Scores as a review site - we're excited to have you on board!
This guide is to cover some of the basics, and get you up and running.
With over 10,000 review scores on the site, we have scripts to import reviews with minimal manual intervention. We load reviews from your RSS feed - most blogging tools and content management systems provide feeds that we can use.
If you're using WordPress, your RSS feed is probably set to include a default of 10 items. That's fine for ordinary usage, but when adding a new partner, we'd like to get all of your reviews in one go. Unless you're a new site, you probably have more than 10 reviews.
You can easily change this setting - see this guide for details. Change it to 500 items, tell us when you're ready, and we'll import your reviews. Then, we'll tell you when you can change it back to 10 - or whatever it was before.
For platforms other than WordPress, look for help guides that show you how to add more items to your RSS feed.
We have a dedicated reviewers dashboard where you can find unranked games to review, add reviews manually (if we can't import everything from your feed), plus keep an eye on your stats and the health of your feed.
New review sites will be sent an invite code that you can use to register with your email address and password. You can also sign up with Twitter if you prefer. Let us know if you join with Twitter as we'll need to give you access to the Reviewers dashboard manually.
We have a private dashboard for games companies who may be looking for people to review their games. As a partner, you can opt in to share your contact details with these companies.
To participate, you need to be registered for the site. Sign in and go to the Reviewers dashboard. Then click Edit details, and fill out the following:
