This is a very different Pokemon game. There's so much to do and not all of it involves collecting more and more Pokemon. The game is almost entirely real-time rather than turn-based. Towns are few and far between, a lot of the game is spent in the wilderness. Merely catching a Pokemon isn't enough to fully complete the Pokedex, you have to fulfil a series of quests based on that Pokemon and its abilities, so the gameplay is much more varied. It feels more like a world to be explored than any Pokemon game before it. I just wish you could pin Pokedex quests to the screen rather than having to remember them.

The soundtrack is almost nonexistent, the gameplay is almost silent. The characters' mouths don't move. According to the Pokedex, there's a Turtwig on the first map, but I didn't see it, I don't know where it is. I don't like having to Google it to find information about the game. The large map with exploration is quite interesting, but the overall finish still leaves something to be desired, weak graphics. I really don't understand how the game has such a high score, I found it quite weak.
